Awkward in front of the camera?
No problem at all! I don't expect you to know how to pose, that's what I'm for :) I'm here to make your experience laid-back and fun! I’ll guide you on what to do into an easy flow so you can focus on your partner/family, instead of the camera.
What if it rains?
We don't trust weather apps in this corner of the world. It rains every single day here on Kauai and 9/10 it's a passing shower followed by full sun right after. If there is a big storm rolling in, we will monitor it closely and make a game plan together.
When and where do you shoot?
I service the south side of Kauai (Poipu/Koloa). At this time, I do not service north shore locations. My all-time favorite time to shoot is sunrise. There are so many benefits to sunrise shoots including THE BEST lighting, location all to ourselves, and having the whole rest of the day free for adventures.
How & when will I receive my photos?
You’ll see your photos for the first time at your reveal appointment as soon as three weeks after our session! You'll choose your favs and my design team will guide you through options for custom artwork. Whether you choose heirloom prints, albums, or wall art, we’ll create something truly special to preserve your memories.
What if something comes up and I need to reschedule?
Life happens, I get it. All I ask is for a courtesy 10 day notice. Then we can pick another date and time that works for the both of us :)
Can I just get the entire gallery of digital images?
It’s common to think you’ll use every single photo from your session or that you only want digital copies. In reality, most people end up using or printing just a handful of their absolute favs anyway. That’s exactly why we include digital backups for the images that you select for your album—so you have the best of both worlds: a beautifully crafted album of your absolute favs PLUS the convenience of digital files for sharing and safekeeping.
Can I print my photos myself?
While we do offer digital backups of your selection, we highly recommend printing through our studio’s trusted professional partners. This ensures that your images are printed with accurate color calibration, on premium materials, and with the attention to detail that reflects the quality of your event. Many DIY labs cannot guarantee the same level of consistency, which can result in poor color reproduction or low-quality prints.
Why should I invest in a printed album or wall art?
While photos seen through your iPhone are convenient, they don’t compare to the experience of flipping through a custom-designed album or seeing your favorite moments displayed in your home. Our albums and wall art are not just photos—they’re heirlooms, created to be passed down through generations. I believe flipping through your very our heirloom album is SO INVALUABLE which is why I include it with every single session of mine. Digital files can get lost in the clouds, but a beautifully printed album is a daily reminder of your most cherished memories.
